Joint federal military training exercises will take place within and around the Boston area between July 26th and August 5th. Military personnel will conduct training exercises to ensure the military's ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements. Helicopters will be used in some exercises. [my emphasis]
The Boston Police Department is working with military personnel to coordinate training sites that will minimize negative impacts on our Boston citizens and their daily routines. Safety precautions have been taken to prevent risk to the general public and the military personnel involved. With that, training site locations are not open to the public and will be guarded by uniformed personnel to provide additional safety.

Britain is burning and out of control. Looters destroy private property, people are beaten and stripped on the street randomly there; police are overwhelmed and cannot respond to it all. There is looting everywhere. We will see it here in our cities as well once the economy gets bad enough, only our military will be used to augment the police via the insurrection act. They are just practicing what they are about to have to do; hence the exercise. And imagine it from the side of law enforcement; what would you do if you were a police chief, read the writing on the wall and knew such things were coming, and also knew you would be totally overwhelmed and innocent people would die in your community if you didn't call in some serious help. Would you hesitate to call in the military to help protect the innocents? It is a terrible situation all around.
In fact, we are seeing the beginning of Britian style mob antics, with young black mobs dragging people out of their cars and beating them at the Wisconsin State Fair and also in other places.
Sadly it won't take much to ignite race and class wars on a much higher level, and the bad guys are already practicing. Read "American Tinderbox" for one man's perspective and some links to more:

Sadly correct. We have seen the UK's anemic response to protect the now disarmed population. The question is not whether or not the ROL will be enforced here, but whether privately owned firearms will be be confiscated before the gov't looses control (or would that be let loose the dogs of fundamental change)? A disarmed US population, or rather a disarmed law-abiding population will be more easily cowed by an armed looters.
And pResident Ubama continues to throw gasoline on the fire by continuously blaming the rich, and somehow makes pretend he is not of that ilk.
