Looks like Survival Mom is doing everything right except she has advertised the fact she has food stored for several months in her house. She may trust her neighbors and friends, but can she trust them when their kids are hungry? Who are the neighbors talking to about her prepp stores? I'm afraid she just painted a target on her front door. It's great to encourage people to prepare but best keep your own preparations quiet. Loose lips sink ships! Sal
Sal- In general I agree with you, but in this instance, I think she is doing a great service by promoting the Prepper community. Additionally, she was wise to mention that her family has firearms and trains with them. I hope that will deter any potential looters!
There is a fine line between trying to educate the public about our movement and still maintaining anonymity. This is also my dilemma with organizing this website, but public service is noble...
I agree with what you say, but it seems safety of the family takes precedence over all else. In my mind the reality of alerting people that you are armed means intruders will plan accordingly. In this case I think a 'safe room' is a wise choice. Keep up the good work, I am very pleased to have found your site. sal
